AFOTEC Rapid Test Support
The Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC)
is responsible for the operational test and evaluation (OT&E)
of the AF and other designated weapon systems. Detachment 1 provides
test planning, execution, and reporting support for non-traditional
assessment (NTA) and traditional OT&E programs. NTA programs
also include advanced concept technology demonstrations (ACTDs)
and AF Battlelab Initiatives.
J&T is a principal subcontractor to Computer Sciences Corporation
(CSC) on the RTS Contract. J&T is involved in the preparation
of test documentation in support of NTA and OT&E programs,
including test plans, execution documents, test reports, emerging
results briefings, data management and analysis plans, and test
readiness review briefings.
J&T provides general programmatic support to AFOTEC Test
Directors (TD), including meeting preparation and minutes, budget
and manpower forecasts, preparation of AFOTEC-specific documents
(e.g., involvement order, tasking order, test resource plan [TRP],
the necessary conditions chart and evaluation framework [NCC/EF],
operational test program management [OTPM] network), and staff
coordination with HQ AFOTEC core team and outside agencies.
J&T has investigated mission areas and prepared test concepts
for numerous OT&E chemical-biological defense (CBD) programs
and NTA programs covering a variety of technologies (e.g., command,
control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance,
and reconnaissance [C4ISR], unmanned aerial vehicles). J&T
has conducted OT&E and NTA test events, with accompanying
test planning documents, in-field execution and support, and test
reports. J&T has also led development of test and evaluation
master plan inputs and coordination with HQ AFOTEC core team members
and other operational test agency (OTA) staffs. Programs with
J&T involvement include:
- Adaptive Joint Command, Control, Communications, Computers,
Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Node
(AJCN).
